Foto # GreeceThe ancient city of Messene is located in the southwest of the Peloponnese and is completely unknown to most people. It takes about 3 hours to explore the very, very spacious area! At the exit of the village there is a museum which can also be easily reached on foot from the centrally located car park. What is really impressive is the very well-preserved condition of some of the building fragments. In the village above the excavation site, there are cafes and taverns that invite you to linger, including a breathtaking view.
